Making A Purchase Making a purchase couldn't be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items you want to buy into the shopping cart. After you've finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you'll be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

Unlike many online stores, you don't have to register in order to purchase. However, if you want to stay up to date with the latest publications and (even better) our great value special offers, we recommend that you register for our regular newsletter. If you decide to register, your personal details are held on our secure server so are safe from spammers.

We accept PayPal and credit card payments, or you can pay by cheque or bankers draft. If you pay by cheque or bankers draft, your order will be dispatched as soon as the payment has cleared.

Credit card payments can be made either through PayPal or through Protx, or you can pay with your PayPal account. PayPal and Credit Card Payments are made via secure servers with 128bit encryption so your details are completely safe. We do not hold your credit card details on this site.
Shipping And Handling Delivery charges will be calculated based on the shipping destination.

We set a standard delivery charge for the UK, Europe and Rest of the World based on the type and number of items you purchase as follows:

Books:
UK Single Item - £2.95. Each additional item £1.25
Europe Single item - £3.95. Each additional item £1.75
Rest of the World Single Item - £5.95. Each additional item £2.00

DVDs, CD Roms:
UK Single Item - £2.50. Each additional item £1.00
Europe Single Item - £3.00. Each additional item £1.50
Rest of the World Single Item - £4.50. Each additional item £2.00

You can choose to have the goods delivered to a different address which is ideal if your purchase is a gift.

Most orders are despatched within 24 hours, when paid by credit card or PayPal. However, at peak times or when stock is limited, delays may occur. You will be notified by email of any expected delays.

We pack your items carefully, but if the item is damaged on receipt, please notify us by email to returns@equestrian-media.com within 3 working days of receiving the goods. Please see below for instructions on how to return goods to us.

Whenever possible we aim to ship your items on the day you order. Otherwise we will dispatch your goods within two working days of receiving your order. If we are unable to do so for any reason, e.g. the item is out of stock, we will notify you by email at the address provided in your account details.

Some items provided by equestrian-media.com are dispatched directly from our suppliers and may take 3 - 5 days to be dispatched.

If the item is out of stock we will inform you of the possible delay and will order the item subject to your agreement


Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. We will try to give you an estimated date for receipt of the item.
Tax Charges Books are exempt from tax. For other items ordered 17.5% VAT is added.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website and you choose to pay using PayPal or PROTX, you will be transferred to the appropriate secure server and transferred back to this site when your payment is completed. Your credit card details are not stored on our server at any time.

Orders paid via PayPal or PROTX will appear as UK Net Solutions on your statement.

Goods supplied from our on-line store may be returned for a full refund, less postage, on items that are undamaged and in the same condition as when despatched, unless you have notified us that the item was damaged on receipt.

DVDs and cd roms may only be returned if they are in their original shrink wrap, unless they are faulty.

Goods returned for exchange will not be subject to return postal charges (UK only).

Returns Policy EXCHANGES
Goods returned for exchange will not be subject to return postal charges, subject to the conditions below (UK only).

If you are buying DVDs, please ensure the format is compatible with your DVD player - the format is normally stated in the item description. If you are buying CD Roms, please check the system requirements stated in the description before purchase.

Our No Quibble 14-day returns guarantee

Our 14-day returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the item, unopened (with any seals and shrink-wrap intact) and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item. We can only accept the return of opened items if they are faulty.

Some notes about refunds:

When you send your item back to us, we will process the returned item then notify you by e-mail of your refund. You can expect a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within one week of our receiving your return.

How Refunds Are Calculated

Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect: If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or, in accordance with our returns policy, because it is damaged or defective, we will refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and pay your costs of returning it to us, once we have verified the damage. We will also refund the cost of giftwrapping and other services provided to you in connection with your purchase, where applicable.


Items returned within the seven-day cooling off period

By law, customers located in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered. For more information see Your Statutory Rights.

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase within the seven working day cooling-off period, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund the cost of the item and the cost of sending the item to you as follows:

Where you are returning an item that was part of a larger order, we will refund the per-item charge for delivery that you incurred.

Where you are returning an entire order, we will refund applicable per -item delivery charges and the per-delivery charge that you incurred.

We will refund only standard (Airmail) postage charges for items delivered outside the UK.

We will not refund the cost of giftwrapping, your costs in returning the item to us and other services provided to you in connection with your purchase unless you return the item to us because of an error on our part or because it is defective.

Items returned under the 14-day returns guarantee

Where you are withdrawing from your purchase between 7 and 14 days after delivery, and there has been no error on our part, we will refund only the cost of the item. We will not refund the cost of giftwrapping, delivery or other services provided to you in connection with your purchase.

Your Statutory Rights

Cooling-off Period

At equestrian-media.com we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us. Occasionally though, you may want to return items.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the item.

By law, customers in the European Union also have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within seven working days of the day after the date the item is delivered. This applies to all of our products except for digital items (eg: e-Books, screensavers) where the item has been downloaded. We regret that we also cannot accept cancellations of contracts for the purchase of video, DVD, audio, and software products where the item has been unsealed.

To cancel your purchase within the seven-working-day cooling-off period, please notify our returns department by email at
returns@equestrian-media.com and go to our Shipping & Returns page to print out a returns form for your item. Please package the relevant item(s) securely, enclosing the returns form stating the reason for the return, and send the package to us at the address shown on the returns form so that we receive it within seven working days of the day after the date that the item was delivered to you.

Please note that we cannot accept returns if you deliver them to us by hand.

For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded-delivery service if the value of the return is more than 50 GBP. Please note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the items to us unless we delivered the item to you in error, or if the item is damaged or defective.

You should be aware that once we begin the delivery process you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for additional services carried out by us (eg: giftwrapping).

As soon as we receive the returned items, we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the normal postage charge for the item--we cannot refund any priority, express or courier component of the postage charge.
