About the author


The author is an advocate of the view that work in hand should always be applied as an extension of training under the rider.

Alfons Dietz was trained in the Spanish Riding School in Vienna for eight years. In Spain and Portugal he bacame skilled in the Iberian principles of Alta Escuela, Doma Vaquera and Rejoneo. he now lives in Vienna where he is a well-respected trainer of Baroque horses.
